Up for the Cup . . .

The Swans make their way down the M3 for the second time in 5 days to take on a bouyant Basingstoke Town in an intriguing FA Cup qualifyer at The Camrose. Awaiting the winners will be legendary Football League clubs including Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton Athletic, Sheffield United and even old foes AFC Wimbledon.

The Swans under Steve Cordery are slowly returning to the form enjoyed during previous FA Cup successes and following a promising performance and a 1-1 draw at the Camrose earlier this week will be up for taking the spoils against Blue Square Bet South rivals Town. David Wheeler suffered a small break following a strong tackle on Tuesday evening and will be unavailable but Dean Wells made his Swans debut and will be looking to maintain his place in a fit and passionate squad where competition for places has never been more acute.

Walk to Woking . . . This seasons game at Woking is scheduled for 7th January 2012. For the last 2 seasons a group of supporters has walked to Woking to raise money for a charitable cause. In 2010 the cause was St Peters Hospital Heart Unit, and in 2011 the cause was 'Help for Heroes'. The charitable cause for this seasons walk has not yet been finalised but if you are interested in supporting this great initiative . . . Contact John Blair.
