'The Swans undertook their most distant ever domestic First Team engagement when travelling down to Cornwall for the league match against promoted Truro City. They did the 7 hour journey on the Friday, and stayed overnight in the city, and were joined the next morning by a most welcome band of hardy supporters at the unusual Treyew Road ground. Also in attendance was Alan Cox, the Staines left-back from 40 years ago, who now lives in Cornwall but was attending his first game at Truro to see his old club in action.
Since the start of the year the Swans have played 3 of the top four teams in the league and returned 6 points from 9 available with great wins at Woking & Chelmsford. This weekend sees the appearance of Welling, currently lying in 3rd place and regularly one of the promotion chasers in the Blue Square Bet South.
