
'The Swans undertook their most distant ever domestic First Team engagement when travelling down to Cornwall for the league match against promoted Truro City. They did the 7 hour journey on the Friday, and stayed overnight in the city, and were joined the next morning by a most welcome band of hardy supporters at the unusual Treyew Road ground. Also in attendance was Alan Cox, the Staines left-back from 40 years ago, who now lives in Cornwall but was attending his first game at Truro to see his old club in action.
